Project Based Learning and Development

Presented by: Dr. Kate O'Hara, Assistant Professor of Research for STEM Education, Cleveland State University
Dr. O’Hara will be discussing Project Based Learning.  She will then describe the Project Based Learning Professional Development that is offered through the STEMM Education Center.  She will also talk about how many people they have trained and more importantly the feedback the STEMM Education Center has received from teachers who have completed the training and tried Project Based Learning in their classrooms for the first time.  Dr. O’Hara will also be willing to answer questions after her presentation.

Brookside S.M.A.R.T. Robotics Demonstration

Presented by: Brookside S.M.A.R.T. Robotics Team 6403
Advisor Kevin Landis and a group of students from the team will be on hand to showcase their robots, demonstrate their setup, and present how they compete with their robots at competitions.  The team will also be able to help other schools understand how they can get a robotics club started.
